North East charities fund ambulance for cancer patients

A cancer patient ambulance has been funded by two charities from the region - the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Daft as a Brush, Cancer Patient Care

A cancer patient ambulance has been funded by two charities from the region.

The ambulance will transport patients from the North East and Cumbria, free of charge, to use services at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care at Newcastle?s Freeman Hospital.

The ambulance has been made possible thanks to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Daft as a Brush, Cancer Patient Care,

It is one of a fleet of 13 ambulances and has been ?adopted? by High Spen Primary School in County Durham.
