The show was very good with the arena being about half full. The start time was 7:30 and in the 30 minutes beforehand they were showing various videos branded RAW 20th Anniversary and finally a WM29 recap.
Justin Roberts welcomed us and we were set to go with our opening contest:
Triple Threat (Winner receives a shot at the US Title later in the show): Zack Ryder Vs Antonio Cesaro Vs Heath Slater
Both Ryder and Cesaro were over with the crowd. Ryder/Cesaro controlled most of the match with Slater being thrown to the outside over and over as a comedy spot. Slater eventually got back in and Ryder got tossed out. It wasn't long before Cesaro hit Slater with the neutralizer and went for the pin only for Ryder to run back in and toss him out of the ring and score the pinfall on Slater himself. After everyone had left Slater walked to the back with a round of applause from the crowd.
Winner: Zack Ryder
Aksana Vs Natalya
Natalya was very over with the crowd and controlled most of the match with several sharpshooter teases only to reversed by Aksana. When she eventually locked in the sharpshooter the crowd went wild and Aksana eventually tapped out.
Winner: Natalya
A Ryback promo aired where he said he would challenge John Cena later tonight.
Jinder Mahal Vs Great Khali
Jinder worked the crowd from the start by shouting 3MB to a chorus of boos. He worked on Khali for a while before Khali regained momentum and won with the chop.
Winner: Great Khali
Zack Ryder Vs Dean Ambrose (US Title)
When The Shields music hit everyone was looking around for them but they appeared in the entrance way. Reigns and Rollins just came out on stage but left as Ambrose made his way to the ring. Ambrose really worked the crowd and this was a good back and forth match with Ambrose picking up the win after some very near falls by Ryder.
Winner: Dean Ambrose
There was a 15 minute interval here where Justin Roberts showed us pre-signed photos of John Cena and Ryback that could be purchased at the merchandise stand.
The Miz Vs Curtis Axel (IC Title)
The Miz entered to a huge pop and lay on the ropes drinking water awaiting Axel. Axel (minus Heyman) entered to a chorus of boos. Both men immediately worked the crowd with Miz putting his hands up and getting cheered and Axel doing the same only to get boos. This went on for a couple of minutes. Good paced match back and forth with each man gaining and losing momentum. During the match there was a "We want Heyman" chant. The finish saw Axel rolling up Miz and using the ropes to get the pin. Fans chanted "this is awesome" throughout the match.
Winner: Curtis Axel
Daniel Bryan/Kane Vs Seth Rollins/Roman Reigns (Tag Titles)
Daniel Bryan was WAY over with the crowd. All 3 of The Shield came to ringside. Some good spots in this match like Reigns asking for the tag and Bryan tagged in Kane to which Reigns wanted out. The fans were chanting "Yes" and "No" from the beginning to the end. Again a good back and forth match filled with Yes chants and the end came with Ambrose interfering and causing a DQ after Kane hit a double chokeslam on Rollins/Reigns. After the match, Sheild tried to use a triple powerbomb on Kane, but Bryan made the save. Bryan and Kane then chokeslamed Reigns and Rollins. They left by standing on the ramp with Bryan shouting Yes.
Winners: Daniel Bryan/Kane (By DQ)
John Cena Vs Ryback (WWE Title)
Ryback got a good reception from the crowd but of course Cena got the biggest pop in this one. Cena took the mic and delivered an entire promo in Chinese which the crowd loved. I must say that his Chinese was pretty good, though maybe a little funny. Cena dominated most of the match but Ryback did get a good bit of defence in and even got a few "Feed Me More" chants and there was one person who shouted "Goldberg" but it didn't catch on. The crowd chanted "Let's go Cena!" and "Cena sucks!" as usual. Cena eventually won with the AA. He delivered another promo in Chinese after and then spoke English and explained he had been learning Chinese as he cant wait to come back to Shanghai in the near future but they want to expand the tour to cities like Beijing and Hong Kong. He posed with the title, went to the fans around ringside touching hands and signed a few autographs and left.
Winner: John Cena
Justin Roberts thanked us and they played Fandagos music to end the show.
